KEY RESPONSIBILITES
• Be a key public face and enthusiastic ambassador for our brands who creates excitement and engagement with our customers and wider craft community.
• Build morale within our team and create a fun, supportive, and trusting workplace environment for all our staff to succeed and grow professionally.
• Be fully familiar with our brands and beers and proactively engage guests to tell our story.
• Ensure bartenders engage / talk with guests (including them to like / share us on social media), are attentive (e.g. ask if guests would like refills when glasses are 1/3 empty, refilling bar snacks, clearing tables, etc), upsell, and provide excellent guest service and satisfaction.
• Work closely with team members to create, plan, and execute (internal and external) events with the aim of establishing a full, fun, and profitable event program to drive customer traffic and sales.
• Supervise staff and ensure all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed and verified by yourself or the manager on duty including, finances, daily opening / closing, cleaning, managing servicing and repairs (e.g. cooling systems, elevator, electrical, etc), and other assigned tasks.
• Be responsible for smooth execution of assigned operations, including managing scheduling via Deputy (including ensuring we have the correct number of staff for expected sales), calculating
weekly tips, issuing purchase orders, and, when appropriate, handling / proper tracking of petty cash.
• Lend a helping hand when needed
• Be familiar with our draft serving system and able to:
o Perform bi-weekly cleaning and maintenance.
o Troubleshoot technical issues, including coordinating with external technicians and other
support partners when service is required.
o Approach problems with a solution-oriented mindset and aim for a win-win for all parties
involved.
• When there are guest issues / complaints, ensure service recovery is quickly and properly activated with a focus on ensuring exceptional guest experiences and satisfaction.
• Assist with social media engagement, including responding to Vietnamese guest enquiries on Facebook, Instagram, TripAdvisor, Google My Business, etc.
• Oversee taproom inventory and ensure daily counts are performed and recorded properly.
• Work closely with finance team to ensure established metrics are met and all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner using our established business management systems.
• Strictly implement and monitor our SOPs to ensure full compliance with all local laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, finance, food quality, health & safety, and labor codes by all
our staff.
• Working with the Taproom General Manager, assist with new hiring and evaluation team member performance to recommend salary increases, incentives and, if needed, warnings, for consideration by the Taproom General Manager and validation by the Finance Director.
• Be available when the job requires and dedicate the required time to execute the role effectively, which may occasionally include overtime and holidays.
REQUIREMENTS
• Has 5+ years of F&B or hospitality experience with progressively responsible career progression.
• Has sound knowledge of the Company’s business, operating procedures, financial dynamics /regulatory requirements, and local norms and cultural considerations.
• Adhere to the highest ethical standards, including compliance with international business and financial anti-bribery practices.
• Has a high level of written and oral communication skills with fluency in English and Vietnamese.
• Very personable and capable of managing people, leading & inspiring a team, delegating responsibility, and assigning staff to roles.
• Allow for flexibility when possible in scheduling (including weekends, holidays, and late nights) – if there are last minute changes.
• Ability to fluently work with computers and basic computer software and tools
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to comply with and enforce all legal, regulatory, financial, health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards.
